Level 1 Virtual is a comprehensive and actionable Introductory Dentistry Virtual course that focuses on training the Veterinarian and the Technician to become familiar with various procedures and clinical aspects of veterinary dentistry.
It is strongly recommended that the vet/tech dentistry team attend
and go through this course together for maximal impact.
Level 2 Virtual is the brand new version of our past Virtual Extraction Wet Lab and builds on the knowledge and skills from Level 1 Virtual. Upon registration, you get 5 hours of RACE approved video instruction and 7 hour RACE approved online course to access immediately and master prior to coming to the actual lab. The Level 2 Virtual Extraction Wet Lab is conducted at the comfort of your own practice with our virtual instructors guiding you. The Virtual Wet Lab then utilizes that knowledge to provide a day of clinical wet lab instruction, much like its Live Course counterpart during Sundays, to round out the skills needed by veterinarians to excel in veterinary dentistry in general practice.
It is recommended but not required that veterinarians take the Level 1 Virtual or Level 1 Live.
Please note: We strongly recommend that either your technician or you AND your technician take Level 1 Live or Virtual if your dentistry service is not running smoothly in the areas below:
- • Radiographic Technique and Positioning
- • Basic Radiographic Interpretation
- • Nerve Blocks
- • Hands-on Periodontal Instrumentation and Technique
- • Client Education and Home Care
- • Dentistry Service Setup, Anesthesia and Pain Management
One whole day of lecture and hands-on wet lab in practical clinical veterinary dentistry provided by a Technician with a VTS Dentistry Specialty degree or AVDC diplomate. Critical topics covered by similar courses must include the topics below:
- • Radiographic Technique and Positioning
- • Basic Radiographic Interpretation
- • Nerve Blocks
- • Hands-on Periodontal Instrumentation and Technique
- • Client Education and Home Care
- • Dentistry Service Setup, Anesthesia and Pain Management
- • Fun and interactive Q and A throughout on these and other topics
The new Level 2 Virtual Extraction Wet Lab takes the lecture from the past labs and puts it into a 5-hour and 7-hour RACE accredited courses that you access immediately and is yours to keep and refer back to for life. These are prerequisites to be completed prior to Saturday day one.
This leaves all day on Sunday for nothing but hands-on dog and cat extractions utilizing the skills that you have acquired from Level 1 Virtual, the 5-hour and 7-hour online courses.
Not only do you get 4 more hours of CE than the previous format (20 vs 16) you have much more hands-on time in the wet lab. You also keep the 5-hour and 7-hour online courses that before was the lecture provided throughout Saturday and Sunday
