I saw this 7 year old, 3 pound, Yorkie last week. 108 and 208 both have these radiolucent lesions. There were no pockets, gingivitis, or damage to the teeth. Are these tooth abscesses on both teeth? I can see the periodontal ligament on both. (note 208 is on left and 108 is on right)

If so, is extraction best or would they be candidates for root canals.
