I am seeing a patient 9 yr old Chi for the first time. Foul smell in mouth. Under anesthesia before rads, I pulled a few teeth. On the right maxillary side this included the premolars and molar. Once these and impacted hair was removed there was a gray pocket of solid pus (like in reptiles). This was removed to find a rather large 7mm by 5 mm cyst that is very open. I am going to debride, but it really does not look closable. Will it continue to grow as it is open if I don't get it closed?
