Hi All,
Urgent help request.
This is a cat currently under GA.
9 year old F(N) Maine Coon.
First presentation to our clinic.
In for dental COHAT, but noted 5mm x 3mm raised, soft, blue, swelling over 308.
No changes to behaviour or appetite.
Rads and photo attached. I can see bone loss centred of 308, extending down into the mental foramen and messially to involve the caudal root of 307. 309 shows some local bone loss also.
We were planning to extract 307/308 and obtain sterile samples of the fluid for analysis plus take some bone for biopsy before closing.
But before we do, we've never seen anything like this before. Any advice or tips?
Thanks everyone.
Dr Dave Nicol.
