Veterinary Dentistry Dental Cases

Dear Colleagues

Dear Colleagues,

My associate likes to repair the gingiva following extractions using a simple continuous suture pattern of 4/0 or 5/0 Monocryl. I have always used a simple interrupted pattern spacing them 2 to 3mm apart.

Is there a right or wrong here, or are they equally as good?

I have a newly qualified vet in the Practice that I am mentoring, and I want to make sure that I advise her of the gold standard.

As always, thank you for your help.

David
