Bone Graft Utilizing Synergy Following Tooth Extraction in a Dog
This patient had periodontal disease affecting the second and third mandibular molars.
A bone graft (Synergy) was used to maintain the marginal bone height due to the close approximation of the bone between the extraction site and the distal aspect of the distal root of the first molar. Doxyrobe was utilized as a membrane on top of the graft to prevent the downgrowth of epithelium into the defect. New bone will be present in several weeks.
