Morning Session: This is practical program for the veterinarian and veterinary technician interested in learning more about veterinary dentistry and expanding the scope of the dentistry services in their practices. Subjects include important conditions you need to know, increasing dentistry compliance, what you can do to take dentistry to the next level in your practice, oral examination and charting, intro to nerve blocks and pain management, intro to dental radiology, talking to owners about periodontal disease and an overview of veterinary dental products and equipment.
Afternoon Session: This hands on lab provides the veterinarian and veterinary technician a simplified approach to obtaining quality dental radiographs without the traditional steep learning curve.  Utilizing Dr. Beckman’s Veterinary Dental Radiographic Positioning Guide participants will learn technique and positioning for creating quick and easy full mouth dental radiographic series in dogs and cats.

Attendance is limited to the first 40 registrants. This program is intended to provide 7 hours of RACE accredited continuing education. Dr. Beckman’s radiographic positioning guide, lecture slides and lunch are provided.

About Dr. Brett Beckman DVM, FAVD, DAVDC, DAAPM

Dr. Beckman is a Veterinary Dentist in Atlanta, Georgia, Punta Gorda, Florida & Orlando, Florida. He is a 1987 graduate of Mississippi State University. He is a Fellow in the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry and a diplomate in the American Veterinary Dental College.

Dr. Beckman is the past president of the American Veterinary Dental Society and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in the field of veterinary dentistry, oral surgery and pain management. In 2007 Dr. Beckman became a diplomate in the American Academy of Pain Management and was honored as Alumnus of the Year by the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. In 2010 he was acknowleded for his role in veterinary dental education with the distinguished Fellow of the Year award from the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry.
